Summary job description

The Financial Inclusion Officer will support the delivery of Blue Ventures’ Financial Inclusion programme in Senegal and The Gambia, working closely with partners and coastal communities to strengthen financial resilience and improve household livelihoods. The role involves developing, adapting, and implementing practical tools, guidelines, training materials, and approaches related to financial literacy, VSLA management, savings and loans, business development, and income-generating activities.

The Officer will also provide technical support, training, mentoring, and peer-learning opportunities to partners and communities, contribute to knowledge development and sharing of good practices, support data collection and analysis, and help integrate financial inclusion and sustainable livelihood approaches into broader fisheries management and conservation programmes. The position requires frequent travel, and involves collaboration with local partners, communities, and Blue Ventures’ international teams. Reporting to the West Africa Head of Technical Capacity, this is a full-time role based in Senegal.
