Learning & Development manager

Tatu City requires a strategic Learning & Development Manager to establish, launch, and lead the company's Corporate Academy and University, creating a world-class learning ecosystem that develops leaders, professionals, technical specialists, and future talent across all business units and countries. This role is responsible for building organizational knowledge from scratch into structured learning pathways, building leadership pipelines, strengthening succession readiness, driving workforce capability, and creating a culture of continuous learning aligned with business growth.

Strategic Objectives

• Academy Function: Focuses on onboarding young A-players by delivering induction programs, building technical and functional skills, supporting compliance training, creating internal certification programs, capturing organizational knowledge, and placing high-performers into junior and specialist roles.
• University Function: Focuses on long-term professional and leadership development as an internal learning institution groupwide, offering structured pathways, developing future leaders, partnering with external academic and professional institutes, building accreditation frameworks, and establishing centers of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academy & University Strategy: Design and implement the Corporate Academy and University strategy, develop a multi-year learning roadmap, create the operating model, and establish governance, policies, and learning standards.
2. Learning Framework Design: Develop structured learning pathways for new hires, individual contributors, supervisors, managers, senior leaders, executives, high-potential talent for succession planning, technical specialists, and graduate trainees.
3. Leadership Development: Design and launch the Leadership Academy, C&D, Sales and Marketing, Health and Security, and other departmental training tracks.
4. Content & Curriculum Development: Create enterprise-wide curriculum architecture, develop learning content internally and with external partners, build digital learning libraries, and establish toolkits, playbooks, and guides.
5. Learning Technology & Digital Learning: Lead the implementation and optimization of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and AI-enabled learning tools.
6. University Partnerships & Accreditation: Establish strategic partnerships with universities, professional bodies, executive education institutes, industry associations, and certification providers.
7. Talent & Succession Development: Partner with Talent Management to build leadership pipelines, increase bench strength, support succession planning, and accelerate high-potential employee development through data-driven reporting and dashboards.

Requirements

Qualifications & Education

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Education, Organizational Development, Business, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
• Learning and Development certifications preferred (CPTD, CIPD, SHRM, ATD).

Experience

• 10+ years of progressive Learning & Development experience, with at least 5 years leading enterprise-wide learning functions.
• Experience establishing or transforming a Corporate Academy, University, Leadership Institute, or Capability Development function.
• Experience in multi-country operations and mixed-use developments preferred.
• Proven success implementing LMS and digital learning ecosystems, leadership development, and talent acceleration.
