Direct Sales Representative (Banking)

Stratostaff East Africa, an established Kenyan staffing and recruitment firm, is hiring a Direct Sales Representative in Meru for a client in the banking industry.

About the role

You will find and win new customers for the bank, grow sales and look after the customers you bring in. It suits a self-driven salesperson who likes meeting people, can work without close supervision, and is motivated by clear targets.

What you'll do

• Open new bank accounts for individual and business customers, making sure each application is complete and accurate.
• Introduce new and existing customers to the bank's digital banking products and help them get set up.
• Meet targets for bringing in deposits and for good-quality loans to individuals and businesses.
• Give customers excellent service and explain the bank's products clearly.
• Keep customers coming back: follow up, share feedback with your supervisor and suggest improvements.
• Report your results daily, weekly and monthly.

What you'll need

• A bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
• Proven experience in sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation and networking skills.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making, with a focus on results and customers.
• Knowledge of the rules that apply to banking products is an advantage.
