What makes a CV that gets interviews

Lead with results. "Cut delivery time by 30%" says more than "responsible for deliveries". Use numbers wherever you can.

Match the advert. Use the same words the job advert uses for skills and qualifications, so the recruiter (and their software) can see the fit.

Keep it short. One page for graduates, two pages for most experienced people. Put the most recent job first.

Make it easy to reach you. A professional email, a phone number you answer, and your town. Your ID number and marital status aren't needed.

Questions

Is the CV builder really free?

Yes. Build, edit and download as many CVs as you like. There's no sign-up and no payment.

Where is my CV saved?

On your own phone or computer, in this browser. We don't upload or store it. To move it to another device, use "Save a backup file" and open that file on the other device.

How do I download my CV as a PDF?

Click "Download PDF". Your browser's print window opens: choose "Save as PDF" as the destination (on Android, tap the printer name and pick "Save as PDF"), then save.

Will my CV work with online application systems (ATS)?

Yes. The PDF contains real, selectable text, and the "Nairobi" and "Karen" templates use a simple one-column layout that application systems read easily.

Should I put a photo on my CV?

In Kenya it's optional. Many employers prefer no photo, and international organisations usually ask you not to include one. Add one only if the job advert asks for it.

Can someone write my CV for me?

Yes. If you'd rather have an expert do it, request our professional CV writing service.
